In less than two weeks, a hearty band of 11 AAIDD members
from the US and Canada will depart for Brazil for what is sure to be a great program, developed with the support of People to People Citizen Ambassador Programs.
Over 9 days, the delegation will engage in professional meetings (and some
sightseeing) in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Our first professional meeting will be on Monday, October 22, when the delegation
takes part in a symposium organized by AAIDD member Dr. Esper Cavalheiro in
conjunction with the Association of Parents and Friends of Persons with
Intellectual Disabilities of São Paulo(APAE-SP).
My Brazilian visa is affixed to my passport, so I'm ready to go!
